The League of Extraordinary Dancers

Friday, December 4, 2009 @ 03:12 AM

It’s very rare that originiality can be found in bboying nowadays.  It’s been going on for so long that just about everything has ben tried.

There’s so many youtube videos, and b-rate movies, and posers in the club that hip hop dance is usually “meh” at best

Here’s something that truly made me gasp, watch the whole video, then pause and replay just because the sheer talent is awe inspiring.

Happy weekend: Inspiriation for getting crunk in the club

Travis Barker “Forever” Remix

Wednesday, November 18, 2009 @ 10:11 PM

Travis Barker gets down with his version of Drake’s “Forever” featuring Lil Wayne, Kanye, and Eminem.

Travis puts his spin on top of each of the rapper’s verses.

Out of all the rendtitions he’s done, the only one I really liked was the super bowl collab with DJ AM, but this version is sick.  He shows some pure talent.

The D.C. Sniper to be executed today

Tuesday, November 10, 2009 @ 04:11 AM

SNIPER SHOOTINGS

John A Muhammad, the “D.C. Sniper” Will be executed today after the supreme court declined to block it. Mr. Muhammad was convicted of killing at least 10 people terrorizing the D.C. area 7 years ago. In an interesting note related to my radio show, I remember when watching Dave Chappelle’s Block Party he said that, “he knew the D.C. sniper had to be black because he took weekends off” kinda funny, but not really given the actual situation. He messed up! ….  and that’s a mean lookin brotha too!

The Cypher- Eminem, Black Thought, Mos Def, DJ Premier

Thursday, October 29, 2009 @ 01:10 AM

It just occurred to me that most of you fellow Certified-Fire followers haven’t seen this yet, and for that I apologize.

It also occurred to me, that as I watch this, that music television is absolutely, completely 100% unarguably DEAD.  No more tha basement, rap city, not even TRL.

I’m so SICK of “Housewives of Atlanta”, “Real Chance at Love”, “How Many Hoes can Brett Michaels Give Herpes Too?”, “I hate Flava Flav”, and all those goddamn MTV The Hills and their sequels.

This is what ALL music television should be. Raw, hardcore music, Freestyle Friday, Big Tigger, Yo MTV Raps, even The White Rapper Show was ill as fuck.  I present the eulogy of music television
